84 Using the Console Interface
STP Port Contro
To change the parameters on individual ports:
1.
Choose Configure Spanning Tree Protocol from the
Configuration menu.
2.
Choose STP Port Control from the Configure
Spanning Tree Protocol menu. The following screen
appears:

Items in the above window are described as follows:
♦ STP State Enables or disables the Spanning Tree
Protocol on a particular port.
♦ Cost (1-65535) Defines the cost for the connection.
♦ Priority (0-255) Port Priority is a read-write object
that can be set from 0 to 255. This is the priority
number of the port. The lower the port priority, the
